[SGMT] Where To Stay in Inverness
Airbnb_Inverness_Jean and Bill

During our two nights in Inverness, we stayed at Jean and Bill Munro’s home, which we booked through Airbnb, and it was perfect. Jean and Bill are both retirees and they have a spare room in the second floor of their home which they rent out to visitors. The room had a double bed, a telly, a washbasin, a well-stocked fridge, an electric kettle, plates, utensils, the works. We had our own bathroom right next door, which was also stocked with everything we might need. And there was WiFi, of course. The house itself is only a 5-minute walk from the Inverness train station and 10-15 minutes’ leisurely walk to all the pubs, shops, restaurants, and other establishments along the River Ness. If you are ever in the Inverness area and need a place to spend the night, I would highly recommend staying here.

  1. I even like the bedspread. It looks very homey to me. Would you mind linking me to their airbnb page if it’s not too much trouble? I can’t find it with the link b/c I’m a moron but I want to wishlist their room.

  2. Oh no! I figured out why it wasn’t popping up for me, it says it’s “no longer available” =( I hope they’re just booked up or taking a break. The room sounded just perfect!!

    1. Oh no… 🙁 While I was writing this post, I checked the link using my usual browser and it worked fine for me, I could still access the listing. But when I read your comment, I tried accessing the page with another browser and I couldn’t pull it up either. 🙁 I hope they’re just taking a hosting break too…they were a lovely couple. Bill especially had a twinkle in his eyes that said he could tell you a lot of stories… Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I’ll update the post to include a note that the listing isn’t available on Airbnb right now (but hopefully not forever).

      1. I would just LOVE it if that is the reason they’re off Airbnb right now. 🙂 Like if they’re some place warm… Jean and Bill on a grand adventure at the age of…oh…70… <3
